Visiting an Exhibition on HK comics


My rough sketches on iza and francesca during the visit.

I've started a small project - portraits of iza from 1M to 72M - selecting 1 photo for each month, then compose them together.
Target to finish before her birthday and send her as a 6Y birthday gift.
I have only gone through the first 4 months ... because there is over 127GB of images ... yes, only on iza!!!

Just don't want to leave the weekend with a blue mood...

I love iza's new hair cut.

These were taken this January in Victoria Park after attending a drawing event.
It was a bad day!
At that moment, my tolerance on her had gone thin ... I couldn't say she's naughty or bad ... just our wills went in opposite directions ... her every word and act irritated me ... I was mad partially because she was not sincere in performing her best in the drawing event ... and she just didn't understand I have put down all my work to bring her there ... I even shamed her and deprived her dignity... after a serious blame, I didn't talk to her and looked at her ... I sat still for 2 hours and she just didn't know what to do ... she was silent ...
After a long cold empty silence, everything seemed to calm down.
Looking at the photos, I felt so sorry for her. She's just a 5 year old kid.
After this incidence, I knew I need to regain patience.
That's how it led to a hideaway trip in Shangri-La.
These recorded how I put my little darling into anxiety...

Iza was looking for cats.

We live in the village.
Outside our house is this big stove built long time ago.
The brown thing is a big broken wok turned upside down, now the home for wild cats.
In the old days, village people used this stove to cook for the whole village in festivals.
People would gather and dine in the outdoor.
This is now memory.

Oliver Jeffers

Iza enjoys bathing very much.
That day, she had been in the water for more than an hour.

"Your skin would peel off ... "
these words just came out my mouth ...

"I will pick them up piece by piece ... "
iza joked in a serious tone.

"It is the most scary joke that I've ever heard..."
I told iza.
