BETWEEN WATER AND INK

" As it is, this land of waters is most noted for its water ... The Jiangnan in my works has white walls, black tiles and silvery waters. All I want to do is to paint its beauty."

" The bitter melon plant bears bitter melon fruits. This is blood. This is destiny. Time and again, halos and wreaths, they are the fruits of nothing but bitterness. Bitter melons are not bitter since, as I have inscribed, I have fully tasted the bitterest of the bitterest."
Wu Guanzhong

Gorgeous editorial! I also love the title of the post: "Between Water and Ink" it would make for a lovely name for a book or blog.

Ah! So clean, minimal. I love the ever moving Iza photographed around amazing art. Iza is like an ink painting, bold lines, fluid motion, evidence of water running.
